Microsoft announces Windows 10 mobile

Rick Otto

Microsoft held a Windows 10 Press Event today.  At the event they announced the update to their Windows operating system for smartphones.  To match Windows being named Windows 10 for desktops it'll be called Windows 10 Mobile.

Windows 10 Mobile will include a number of improvements to the mobile operating system.  Skype will now be integrated with messaging, recent apps will move to the top of the Apps list, and the Action Center will be synced with the desktop version of Windows.

At the event Microsoft also showed off their Office apps on the updated operating system.  They will have the ability to print wirelessly.  Recent files will roam between PC, mobile, and OneDrive.

Windows 10 for mobile will be released in February.
