Apple has just released an update for iOS. The new version is 7.0.6 and is available immediately for the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and AppleTV. This new version is said to provide "a fix for SSL connection verification." Although Apple said little about the bug it quickly became known that it was a major bug. The bug meant that potentially someone could intercept traffic between affected browsers and nearly any SSL-protected site. Because of the importance of this fix there's even an update for iOS 6.x users to remove this flaw. The bug is also present in OS X so we're hopeful that a fix will be released shortly for OS X to remove this bug.
