    There's a lot of talk about Apple updating their Macbook Pro, likely as early as June.  The recent 10.7.4 update adds evidence that upcoming Macs will have retina displays.  For example the high quality icons for Apple's textedit application have increased from 512x512 pixels to 1024x1024 pixels.  Since OS X Lion came out there have been other changes made to icons and cursors to prepare the OS for higher resolution displays.
